303 Magazine: First Look at Edgewater Public Market’s Impressive List of Tenants.
Come August 2019, Edgewater (the small town framed by Sloan’s Lake and West Colfax) will have a destination spot all its own. Edgewater Public Market promises to bring 75,000 square feet of new development to the area with a heavy focus on food and beverage businesses. Taking over the old King Soopers on 20th and Depew, the new public market will have a designated food hall with 12 different international options.
The list currently includes an Italian street pizza concept called Monna Pizza from Denver Nugget Danilo Gallinari and former Parisi chef Mario Petit, a new Barbed Wire Reef outpost along with its taco concept Carnivore and an Arepas House, where they’ll make fresh arepas daily. Additionally, Edgewater will welcome seven food truck operators to open brick-and-mortar locations including Moontime Crepes, Vegan Van, Happy Cones, Slideshow Sliders, Mac Shack, Gyros King and a fried chicken concept called Lucky Bird. If you’re in need of a drink, you can head to the rooftop to Roger’s Bar, which will be operated by the minds behind Denver Central Market’s Curio — Stuart Jensen, Stephen Julia and Katsumi Yuso Ruiz. It’ll overlook Sloan’s Lake and will likely have a killer view. Amethyst Coffee will also open a shop in the space to round out the experience. Several other names are in the works to add a brewery and possibly a winery. The preexisting Depew Liquors will also join the project.
